Bowen Heritage was formed in 1989 to save the historic Davies Orchard from being demolished. Purchased by Greater Vancouver Regional District (now Metro Vancouver) as a part of Crippen Regional Park, the lands were destined to be cleared of the charming cottages that have housed visitors to Bowen Island since the booming resort days of the 1920s.
