Coquitlam's Heart of Gold Exhibit Celebration

*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 09/25/2021
Join us for a fun afternoon of dancing, tours and refreshments to celebrate BC Culture Days and the opening of our new exhibit Coquitlam's Heart of Gold. The Golden Spike CanCan Dancers will wow you with their high energy kicks and colourful costumes and get you in the mood to learn about the history of the gold rush of the 1800's and its impact on the Coquitlam community. You can also enjoy a tour of the Fraser Mills Train Station and our 1970's Caboose before they close for the fall and winter season. Performance times 1pm & 2pm in front of the caboose in Heritage Square.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Tours from 10-4pm. Tours are limited to one family/group per tour. Each tour lasts approximately 20 minutes. Masks are recommended inside the museum, train station and caboose.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to donate. Coquitlam Heritage is running a food drive with items going to the Coquitlam branch of SHARE Family & Community Services in early November.
