Lions Gate Sinfonia - The Emperor: Ian Parker Plays Beethoven

We opened the season with Beethoven’s mighty 5th Symphony, and we will close with the brilliant Ian Parker as soloist in Beethoven’s magnificent Emperor Concerto, his 5th and final concerto for Piano. Our audiences clamour for music by the great composers of the past, so we offer a short and sweet early Mozart work – his 5th Symphony, and the virtuoso Flute and Piccolo soloist Sarah Jackson playing a traditional concerto by Vivaldi and (believe it or not!) a Baroque Concerto by Michael Conway Baker.
