Ages for which our activities are most appropriate:
To families seeking educationally-enriching activities for their children ages 3-18, LKA is the leading Montessori-inspired cooking academy providing a safe and empowering environment to learn practical life skills, confidence, independence, and healthy eating habits to last a lifetime.

Every time we walk into Little Kitchen Academy we get goosebumps and feel all warm and fuzzy. To see the delight in the children’s faces and watch them learn independence is heartwarming. Being parents to three boys we instantly recognized the value of LKA and how it will help create improved long-term health for our youth today. We look forward to changing lives from scratch throughout the Surrey market over the next many years to come. We could not be more proud to be part of the Little Kitchen Family.

Enthusiasm is the one ingredient that’s always in our kitchen.

Our first Surrey location is located in Peninsula Village at unit 600-15355 24 Avenue. This modern, emerging market is minutes from the US border, is bounded by the ocean, has new shopping opportunities and great neighbourhood communities.

Our recipes incorporate as many local, seasonal, and organic ingredients as possible. Our curriculum reflects the idea that what Mother Nature provides from the ground is what our bodies are needing at specific times of the year. Our recipes support the phrase ‘what grows together, goes together’. Each season, we add to our growing collection of custom-made recipes so our students never make the same dish twice.

If our students need to make a recipe gluten-free, dairy-free, or substitute an ingredient or two because of an allergy or intolerance, we will make it happen! Understanding other people’s dietary restrictions creates empathy and connection.
