Join us for a full weekend of family-fun virtual programs—complete with story time, an art demonstration, and even a call to action—to honor the life, memory, and work of Martin Luther King, Jr. The Weekend of Service events are listed below. They are all free. Registration is required for some activities. Participation includes both online and Zoom access.

Drag Queen Story Time: Activism Then and Now – Kids age 4-8
Miss Brittany Lynn, creator of the popular Drag Queen Story Time program, will be joined by her best bud Matty and other interesting characters to honor the legacy of of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. She will focus on the theme of service and activism by reading stories like The Youngest Marcher and Sometimes People March. This event is free, registration is required.
Standing Up, No Matter How Small – Kids age 6-12
How can you make your voice heard in 2021? Follow along as we share inspiring stories of children taking action and explain how you can use your First Amendment Rights to stand up for liberty. Then, use one of our templates to create your own liberty-inspired poster! This is a free event, registration is required.
Liberty Learning Live with Rosa Leff: Activist Art – Kids age 4-11
Sunday, January 17, 1pm
There are all kinds of ways we can make a difference in the world. In this live workshop, kids and their grown-ups can make and create change with their own activist art. Join the NLM for a conversation about liberty and what issues matter to you and your community. Artist Rosa Leff will show you how to conceptualize and create your very own piece of activist art! This activity is pay as you wish. Registration is required.
