Celebrate nature through art. Create a poster that illustrates a native species found in Surrey. Biodiversity is the variety of life on earth – plants, animals, fungi, bacteria and more. In the city, you’ll find biodiversity all around you: in parks, backyards, schoolgrounds and boulevards. Celebrate biodiversity and nature through art! Create a poster that illustrates native species found in Surrey. This contest is open to all ages.

How to Enter

  1. Explore, enjoy and observe the diversity of animals and plants in a nearby park. 

  1. Artistically represent one species native to Surrey on an 8.5” x 11” sheet of paper. 

  1. Scan or photograph your poster, then attach it to an email along with your name and age to stewardship@surrey.ca by 11:59pm on May 16, 2021. 

Prizes

  • Winning submissions will be displayed online to celebrate International Day for Biodiversity on May 22.
  • One winning artist will be selected from each age group (0-5; 6-12; 13-18; 19+). 
  • Each winner will receive a $50 gift card.
