Pleasant Mountain Music offers private music lessons in Vancouver on a variety of instrument. Private lessons are a great way to get started on your musical journey, or to enhance your existing knowledge. Our instructors are all incredibly skilled and trained to help every level of musicianship, from the "i've never touched an instrument before" beginners, through to the intermediate, and advanced stages of practice (including professionals, who are already writing, performing, or recording music!). We offer lessons in notation, ear-training, improvisation, and composition.
We're excited to help you get started on your music journey, on one or more of any major instruments including voice, piano, guitar, and drums, along with orchestral instruments like violin, viola, trumpet, trombone, clarinet, cello, as well as slightly more niche instruments such as Handpan, Extreme Vocals (screamo), and Mandolin!
Starting in January, PMM will begin to offer IN-HOME lessons on a selection of instruments as well! Save yourself an additional trip during the week or weekend, and let our skilled instructors come to YOU! For piano or clarinet lessons, Teacher Adrianna serves the North Vancouver regions of Lonsdale, Upper Lonsdale and Lynn Valley. For Burnaby region, let teacher Jason help you pursue Voice, Piano, or Guitar lessons. And finally, for violin lessons in Vancouver areas of Kitsilano, Kerrisdale, or Dunbar, teacher Daniel is available to support your music journey.

- ALL AGES Bucket Drumming Workshop no previous drumming expderience required! Monday January 12, 2026
- YOUTH Beginner Guitar Class on Mondays starting in January
- ADULT Beginner Guitar Class on Mondays starting in January
- Metal Choir (beginner friendly) on Tuesdays startingin in January
- YOUTH Rock band (some previous playing experience required) on Wednesdays starting in January
- ADULT Rock band (some previous playing experience required) on Wednesdays starting in January
- Metal Ensemble (intermediate chamber choir) on Thursdays
- Queer Choir (beginner friendly) on Saturdays, drop-in/pay-what-you-can, starting in January
- Brand new Soul R&B and Pop Choir with Richard Pinto on Sundays starting in February
- Brass Ensemble (trumpet, trombone, baritone, euphonium) on Sundays starting in February
