Welcome to the 2026 Richmond Cherry Blossom Festival!
Where Gratitude Blooms. The Richmond Cherry Blossom Festival returns to Garry Point Park on Sunday, April 12, 2026 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, bringing the community together to enjoy the beauty of the cherry blossom alongside the cultural richness of Japan.

Between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm, the Hanami Tent will offer displays and demonstrations from local artisans including calligraphy, bonsai and origami, as well as the opportunity to experience a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony.
In the Sakura Tent, visitors can experience an Ikebana demonstration, and performances by Taiko drummers, folk singers and dancers.
Children of all ages are invited to the Chibi-Chan Tent to learn how to fold origami blooms using special Japanese paper and techniques.
There is also the opportunity to enjoy a range of Japanese menu items from an array of local vendors.
