RISE Summer Camps: North Vancouver

This summer the Learning Disabilities Society is hosting small group, safe, specialized RISE Summer Camps. Our team is designing special programming and activities that can be delivered safely in-person to exceed health and safety guidelines. Our customized and creative week-long Vancouver & North Vancouver summer camps will focus on helping students with learning disabilities develop new skills through fun, hands-on camp programs with high instructor and camp counsellor to camper ratio (group sizes of 6 campers max).
All of our summer camps are designed around two themes:
RISE & Tell
Tell Your Story-Explore the many exciting ways to tell stories using the written word, oral histories, plays, graphic novels, poetry, and more.
Each camper will work closely with our language team to learn the skills to create their own story to share and publish with the group at the end of the week!
RISE & Solve
Discover Your World-Use various detective skills to solve all sorts of problems, including puzzles, math games, outdoor scavenger hunts, and more.
Students from approximately grades 3 to 5 are the best fit for our RISE summer camps. If you’re not sure of an age or ability fit, please get in touch and we can help you decide if the program is a suitable fit.
$ 495 for a one-week camp including daily 1:1 instruction. FULL bursaries are available for families in demonstrated need.
Camps will be held:
East Vancouver: LDS Learning Centre, 3292 E Broadway and surrounding park space
North Vancouver: Kenneth Gordon Maplewood School and surrounding park space
