Multi-award-winning Britannia Mine Museum offers an immersive experience of an iconic National Historic Site. Through a range of exhibits, tours and a live-action show, guests experience what it was like to be working and living in a remote, tight-knit community and consider their own personal connection with materials mined today. Rumble aboard The Underground train as it rolls through an historic mining tunnel. Push up your sleeves at our Gold Panning Pavilion and keep what you find! Immerse yourself in the live-action, multi-sensory experience of BOOM!, as you learn about copper extraction, mill history and what life was like back in the day. Camp Invention: National

Energize your kid’s creativity and confidence with our new Camp Invention® program, Recharge! Campers in grades K-6 will collaborate with friends in hands-on, open-ended STEM challenges. They’ll take apart a microphone to explore its inner workings, build and test a device to launch rubber ducks, and design morphing vehicles for the Super Road Rally! Each activity is designed to inspire curiosity, spark imaginations and give your young innovator the best summer ever. This year, our local camps are being offered in person and at home so your child can experience the fun of Camp Invention no matter where they are!
