Birds on Parade

Join us in a grand parade as we greet thousands of scientists and bird enthusiasts from around the world! The parade of birds will swoop and sing along the seawall, from Harbour Green Park in Vancouver’s beautiful Coal Harbour to open the 27th International Ornithological Congress and First Annual Vancouver International Bird Festival at Jack Poole Plaza.

Birds on stilts! Bird puppets! Bird flags and Bird choruses, representing and celebrating local and migratory birds from our communities. The parade starts at 2 pm at Harbour Green Park and ends at Jack Poole Plaza at 4 pm.
Come and Join The Parade! All are welcome! We’re holding workshops and rehearsals leading up to the parade, including costume making, movement and birdsong.
