Book Buddies at Parkgate Library
Book Buddies is a one-on-one reading program to help young readers get more comfortable and confident with reading.
We match up developing readers with teen volunteers to read together and play literacy games for 30 minutes each week.

Book Buddies is available for kids ages 6-11. Participants must be able to read at a basic level.
Participants must be able to attend all sessions. When you sign your child up for Book Buddies, it is for the same time for four weeks in a row with the same teen buddy.
Priority will be given to kids who haven't yet participated in the program.
