Create Your Own Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is defined as "using computers to do things that traditionally require human intelligence such as visual perceptions, speech recognition, decision making, etc." How can we make computers do these things? That is what you will discover in this camp. Using a program called EdgeImpulse, you will train your own cell phone or laptop to classify what it sees, hears and feels. AI Engineers and Data Scientists will be impressed.
When?
Monday July 24 - Friday July 28, 2023; 9:00am-12:00noon.
Who?
This camp is designed for students aged 12-16 years.
No prior experience is necessary, but this camp is a great extension for those students who have previously taken our “Machine Learning, Demystified” camp.
Cost:
$295 (including tax).

What will you learn?
Day 1: Train a computer using a cell phone to visually determine if it "sees" a pen or not. Then improve and perfect the Machine Learning model and put it on a WASM static Github webpage (GitPages).
Day 2: Continue improving Vision models for multiple object classification. Introduce sound and motion model similarities and differences to vision.
Day 3: Program a sound model to identify one or more specific sounds, such as "stop" and "go". Retrain as needed.
Day 4: Motion model, train and improve a model for multiple motions such as wave, jump and punch.
Day 5: Retrain, upload to Github and present your best model.
