Lights, Camera, Orchestra!
Grade 3-8
Ever wondered how a movie would feel without music? Join us to discover how music enhances movies, shapes characters, and breathes life into stories. This educational and fun concert is curated for middle schoolers, beginning with exploration of non-soundtrack music that has inspired composers to create iconic movie scores. We will learn how orchestral music forms the backbone of soundtrack composition, influencing the art of filmmaking, and gain insights into today’s industry by discovering works from contemporary BC-based soundtrack composers.
