This art workshop is built around playing with various unpredictable art materials (bubble guns, natural materials from the outside world: rocks, leaves, pinecones, etc.), while introducing young kids to different shapes, specifically circles, and spheres. Participants will get to create their own bubble world, paint using materials you might not have used before, play around, and have fun! Families with kids ages 3-10 are welcome to register!
Materials will be provided as well as aprons for the kids.
About the facilitator:
Peisen Ding is a young artist who loves working with younger kids and university students, introducing them to various art forms through art and play, exploration of identities, and fictional characters.
“My work mainly focuses on exploring queer identity, and everyday urban life. It helps me to express my feelings, and observe the city, as we imagine a utopian world. More importantly, I hope my work can deliver love, care, and courage to people who are immigrants to Canada, and/or from the LGBTQIA2S+ community”
*This is a free event with Gordon House membership: 7$/a year for families with more than 1 parent, $5/a year for single parents
