SPARK is celebrating Family Day with a free performance of this family favourite by Axis Theatre.
Join us for a visit to Cementland where two garbage collectors tell the story of a special boy who finds treasure and friendship in the rusty rubble of his dreary town. It's a tale about growing food and building trust and how with a little patience and goodwill we can all transform our surroundings into something beautiful.
The story is based on the popular picture book by Timothy Basil Ering and adapted for the stage with the addition of beautifully handcrafted puppets and an original pop/rock musical score, by Chris McGregor.
40 minutes. Recommended for ages 3–10.
Stay after the show and enjoy fun art activities at Clayton Community Centre from 1pm–4pm.
