Garry Point Park & River Cleanup

WHEN: Saturday, March 23 from 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM
WHERE TO MEET: Garry Point Park (12011 7th Ave, Richmond) – Look for the blue Surfrider tent near Kuno Garden
SORTING VOLUNTEERS: In addition to picking up litter, we also need volunteers to help sort the items collected into different recycling categories. When registering, please indicate if you are interested in sorting litter instead of picking it up.
WHAT TO BRING/WEAR: We will provide reusable gloves, buckets and pickers – however, we welcome you to bring your own as there is a limited supply. Please wear closed toe shoes that you don’t mind getting a little dirty!
LAST BUT NOT LEAST – SAFETY FIRST: Please do not collect heavy, sharp or hazardous objects. Instead, inform a Surfrider volunteer of the location for safe removal. Always use a stick or trash picker when sifting to avoid sharp objects.
