HOME & HEART Art Workshop Hosted by Gather Make Art at OneSpace

Kids learn what shapes make up a house or a home (varied homes will be discussed). They’ll explore cutting, layering and gluing different shapes of cardboard to create their home. Kids can choose what kind of shapes fit their home best. Once the shapes are cut out or decided upon, kids get to add details with oil pastels. Once that is done, kids glue the cardboard to watercolour paper and add more details with oil pastels such as clouds, a rainbow, rain, snow, birds or whatever they desire. Kids can add a few final touches with foraged nature at the end to create a truly stunning memory of their home.
Joining In-Person?
Gather Make Art will provide all art supplies. Please bring:
Clothes your child can paint in and/or an apron.
A printed picture of your home for children to base their art work off of.
Parents are welcome to stay on-site and use our OneSpace amenities (desk and lounge space) for the duration of the event.
Joining Virtually?
The art materials we will be using are upcycled materials (cardboard, plastics, anything you find around your home), oil pastels, glue, and paint.
A zoom link will be emailed to you an hour before the event.
Covid Procedures
Masks are mandatory for anyone over 5.
Please wash/sanitize your hands upon arrival.
Please arrive 15 - 20 minutes early to stagger entry.
