*The event has already taken place on this date: Thu, 12/12/2024
oin us for an incredible journey through the rich tapestry of Afro-diasporic history in "Hope Meets Action: Echoes Through the Black Continuum," presented by the BC Black History Awareness Society in collaboration with the Royal BC Museum.
This groundbreaking exhibition brings to light the often overlooked and whitewashed stories of Black "British Columbians" throughout history. For the first time, witness the vibrant narrative of Black belonging, courageously told by the Black community themselves.
Written, narrated, and curated by Black voices, this exhibition boldly reclaims the complex history of resilience and resistance. Discover the extraordinary contributions of Black leaders whose legacies resonate through the ages, including the remarkable stories of trailblazing women like Sylvia Stark and her daughter Emma Stark.
