Ice Skating at The Butchart Gardens

Beneath strings of twinkling lights, our 5,000 square-foot outdoor ice rink adds a little romance to a classic Canadian pastime, when you’re done, warm up by the fire in the Coffee Shop with family and friends and a cup of hot chocolate or cider.

Dates & Details
- Skating is available every day of the Christmas season, based on availability.
- Skate times run every hour on the hour and last 40 minutes.
- Skating must be booked prior to skate time. Upon arrival, reserve your skating spot at the Information Centre. Choose from the next available time or a time later during your visit.
- The rink capacity is 75 people.
- For the safety and enjoyment of all, rink users must comply with the rink rules.

Adult: $5.00 + tax
Youth: $4.00 + tax
Child: $3.00 + tax
Skate rental: $3.00 + tax
Skate Rentals
We have skates available in a variety of sizes on a first come, first serve basis, helmets and wrist guards are available at no charge.
