Knight Camp

Knight Camp is an award-winning Spring Break and Summer day camp for ages 8–14 in downtown Vancouver, hosted by Academie Duello, the world’s largest centre for historical swordplay. In a safe, structured environment, campers step into a rich medieval world where they build confidence, courage, and character through movement, challenge, and adventure.

Throughout the week, campers train in historical martial arts, learning the movement, guards, attacks, and defenses of the medieval two-handed sword, sword and shield, and staff. Each day builds on the last, giving campers a clear sense of progress as they develop skill, focus, coordination, and control under the guidance of experienced instructors.

Beyond martial training, campers play medieval games, explore history, and practice Knightly Virtues such as courage, integrity, charity, and perseverance through daily activities, reflection, and peer recognition. They also engage with Academie Duello’s arms and armour museum, helping bring the world of the Middle Ages to life in a way that feels active, meaningful, and memorable.

Knight Camp is especially well suited to active, imaginative kids who want more than a standard sports camp. Activities are adapted for different ages and experience levels, so both first-time and returning campers feel challenged, supported, and included. Returning campers can also progress through ranks over time, building a deeper sense of achievement, belonging, and growth within the Knight Camp community.

Each day ends with demonstrations of what campers have learned, and the week concludes with a celebratory Friday Grand Tournament for family and friends. With experienced instructors, a long-running reputation, and optional before- and after-care for working families, Knight Camp offers a camp experience that is physically active, historically grounded, and genuinely worthwhile.
