What is a Family? A household, a cultural community, a place where we belong. On the North Plaza in front of the Vancouver Art Gallery, The Lantern City presents the exhibit “We are a Family”, featuring artists of different communities that make up Vancouver.

While admiring the beautiful artworks of The Lantern City, listen along to the specially composed musical piece accompanying the lanterns! Inspired by the weaving traditions of Taiwanese Indigenous Peoples, Woven Melodies connects cultures from Taiwan to Canada and beyond in new, creative ways.
