Mountains to Ocean is an action-packed, week-long adventure for curious youth ages 13–15 who want to explore the natural world from mountain peaks all the way to the ocean shoreline. Set in B.C.’s Mainland region, this hands-on program blends outdoor exploration with STEM discovery, Indigenous knowledge sharing, and real conservation action.
Along the way, participants trek through unique ecosystems, investigate the science behind nature’s coolest mysteries, and build community while connecting with others excited to make a difference. With activities that spark curiosity and keep everyone moving, Mountains to Ocean helps youth build skills they can use anywhere, like teamwork, problem-solving, and communicating science with confidence. It’s one-week, countless discoveries, and an experience you won’t forget!
Camps fees currently run at $450 per week per child and include staffing, admission fees, guided excursions, and more!
At the heart of our five-day learning adventures is our signature experience: the Learning Journey. During these immersive days, youth connect directly with the forests, mountains, and ocean of British Columbia while learning from Ocean Wise facilitators and our incredible community partners.
Each Learning Journey includes unforgettable excursions, such as touring the Pacific Science Enterprise Centre, exploring coastal ecosystems during a guided boat trip, and heading into the alpine on adventures like riding the Sea to Sky Gondola. These activities help youth experience B.C.’s natural environments up close while discovering why protecting and restoring them matters.
At the end of the summer, all summer camp attendees will have the opportunity to attend our Showcase Social, a celebration and meet-up where participants can connect with each other and with leaders from our organization.
