Night in the Wild- Greater Vancouver Zoo

Night in the Wild (Option A)
With this option you can choose to sleepover with your group (with or without a one-hour guided interpretive program), or if you prefer you can experience the evening program (includes 45 minutes to one-hour guided tour and campfire).
You need to pre-register your group at least 2 weeks in advance by completing a NITW Registration Form and faxing or mailing it to the Education Department at 604-856-6825 ext.26 or 28 or email edu@gvzoo.com. Please note a minimum of 20 people is required.
**New as of September 6, 2016: if you wish to have an animal encounter, the price per participant is $10.00.
Options include evening program with a guided tour or camping under the stars:
1. AFTER-HOURS EVENING PROGRAM
In lieu of a sleepover, your group can enjoy the intimacy of the zoo in the
evening. This program includes a guided tour and campfire experience.
Price: $21.21 per person
Check in at 4:00 p.m.
Check out at 10:00 p.m.
OR
2. SLEEPOVER PROGRAM
Price: $34.86 per person.
Check in at 4:00 p.m.
Check out at 9:00 a.m.*
* After your morning check-out, you may stay at the Zoo for the remainder of
the day.

Guided Tour/Craft Activity/Zoo's Clues Scavenger Hunt Game - each option
available for $2.52 per participant
Animal Encounter - $10.50 per participant
Continental Breakfast - $6.30 per participant
Interpretive Program Options:
Our one-hour guided interpretive programs are appropriate for any age! Topics to choose from are:
- You and the Zoo: Full of fun animal facts, this is the perfect introduction to the Greater Vancouver Zoo and its inhabitants.
- Endangered Species: Many plants and animals are now threatened with extinction. Learn why species are at risk and what zoos are doing to protect and conserve animal species. (Earn your Endangered Species Badge!)
- Walking Safari: An introduction to some of our awesome animals. (This tour may be tailored to your group's specific needs).
You are required to bring your own tents, sleeping bags, camping equipment, drinking water, food (Take-out is easy), extra clothing, toiletries, flashlights, matches and charcoal.
Check-in time is at 4.00 p.m and a $50.00 deposit is required and will be returned after your 9.00 a.m. checkout the next morning. For safety reasons, all equipment must be packed before 9.00 a.m. You are more than welcome to stay at the zoo for the remainder of the day.
The picnic area has water, electrical outlets, porta potties, fire pits, kindling and firewood as well as covered gazebos and picnic tables (Sorry, there are no showers).

Family Night in the Wild (Option B)
For an exciting adventure at the zoo, join us for a family sleepover! On the
Saturday evening, set up your tent, go on a night walking safari, play games
and listen to stories around a campfire!* On Sunday morning, enjoy a
continental breakfast, meet a keeper to learn about an animal, and enjoy the
rest of the day at the zoo!
* Campfire is subject to applicable fire regulations.
Family Rates:
Adult Member (16yrs+) $54.81 per person.
Child (3-15yrs) $38.01 per person.
Family (2 adults + 3 children) $190.26 per family.
Please note: Discount pricing is offered for Greater Vancouver Zoo members.
