Pollinator Party!
Super Weekend is a monthly program geared toward families. There are lots of activities that explore different features of the Fraser River, from its booming industry to its diverse ecosystem!
See what all the buzz is about! Join us as we celebrate the important role pollinators play in keeping the Fraser watershed nourished and thriving.
Early spring is the perfect time to get to know the bees, butterflies, bats, birds, and many other species hard at work around us. Without these essential pollinators, plant life in the Fraser River basin would struggle to produce fruits and seeds.
WHAT:
- Model pollination in action and discover how flowers and pollinators work together
- Learn about local pollinator species through a fun matching game
WHEN: Saturday – Sunday, April 25th-26th, 10:00am – 4:00pm
WHERE: Fraser River Discovery Centre, 788 Quayside Drive, New Westminster, BC
COST: Includes admission to the Discovery Centre. Specific costs are listed below:
- Family Ticket ($20.00) – for 2 adults and up to 4 children
- Adult Ticket ($8.00) – adult 19 and older
- Senior Ticket ($6.00) – senior 65 and older
- Student Ticket ($6.00) – student ID required
- Child ticket ($5.00) – children aged 3-12
- Children 2 and under register for free
Caretakers are asked to remain with their children for the duration of their visit.
