Pride Picnic in the Park

Pride Picnic in the Park is the only public event celebrating LGBTQ+ pride in Maple Ridge. It’s a free family-friendly event that brings together community members for an afternoon of games, music, a BBQ, face painting, and other fun activities.
It began in 2016 as a way to bring Pride festivities closer to youth who participate in our other LBGTQ services in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. Our Generation-Out and Trans Support Groups bring together youth aged 13 to 18 years who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, two-spirited or ‘questioning’. They provide a safe, positive and supportive space for youth to regularly meet and spend time together.
