Remembrance Day in Pitt Meadows

If members of the community would like to lay a wreath on Remembrance Day, they are asked to please bring it to the cenotaph by 10 a.m. and make sure it is picked up before dusk.
Please note: There is no seating available during the ceremony. Reserved chairs are for veterans and those requiring accessible seating only.
Poppies will be available to purchase by donation from Pitt Meadows City Hall starting Monday, October 27. Poppies are worn as a tribute to our veterans with all money raised from their sale to help local veterans and their families.
Flags at City facilities will be flown at half-mast in honour of Veterans' Week, Indigenous Veterans Day and Remembrance Day from the morning of Friday, November 7 until the morning of Wednesday, November 12, 2025 (please note: the flags at šxʷhék̓ ʷnəs (Spirit Square) will be lowered during the Remembrance Day Ceremony).
There will be a reception in the Recreation Centre lobby following the ceremony.
Lane & Parking Area Closure
On November 11, the drive-through lane between šxʷhék̓ ʷnəs (Spirit Square) and the Pitt Meadows Family Recreation Centre will be closed from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. for the Remembrance Day Ceremony. For the morning of November 11, please park in the north lot or underground parking. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
