Spend the last day of 2022 having a blast at the Vancouver Maritime Museum!
We have a day full of fun family activities planned at the Museum on December 31st! Together we will explore noise-making and bell-ringing traditions from around the world, ring St. Roch’s bell 16 times, make our own bells, go on a scavenger hunt around the Museum and listen to a magical Inuit tale about the origin of day and night.
Event Schedule
10:00 am – 4:00 pm
- Bell-making craft station
- Historic bell display next to St. Roch
- Scavenger hunt (map available at Visitor Services desk)
11:00 am
The first reading of The Origin of Day and Night at Children’s Gallery, followed by a discussion about the celebration of Quviasukvik.
12:00 pm
Join us aboard St. Roch to ring the bell 16 times to welcome the New Year.
1:00 pm
The second reading of The Origin of Day and Night at Children’s Gallery followed by a discussion about the celebration of Quviasukvik.
2:00 pm
The last reading of The Origin of Day and Night at Children’s Gallery followed by a discussion about the celebration of Quviasukvik.
