Student Jazz Workshop

This program gives musicians of all levels the opportunity to explore and deepen their understanding of jazz improvisation and advance their practical ability in the context of ensemble performance. Vocals and all instruments are welcome! This year the in-person workshop is open to students 13 years and older as well as adults.
Students will participate in small jazz combo with - vocalists or horn players (sax, trumpet, trumpet, trombone, clarinet, flute, etc) together with rhythm section (piano, guitar, bass, drums)
Students are grouped together by experinece and ability.- there will be a short placement audition closer to the start of the camp
Tuesday August 12- Saturday August 17- 9:30 am - 4:30 pm each day, (Shorter day on Saturday)
Delta Community Music School and some sessions at the Red Barn at Southlands.
