Arts Umbrella offers programs in three artistic disciplines, including Art, Design, Dance, Theatre, Music and Film. We have programs for children as young as two, to professional training artists who want to pursue the arts as as career.
Axis is dedicated to providing unique training opportunities for the young and the young at heart. These all ages workshops are taught by qualified, celebrated artists from across Canada.
Bard Youth Fest runs during the school year, with a fall and spring series. Participating troupes are based out of schools, community centres, and our own rehearsal studios.

Our 4-week musical theatre workshops at Imagine This give kids ages 6–18 the chance to sing, dance, and act! Held on Saturdays in Port Moody, the program ends with an exciting showcase where they perform a mini-musical for parents.
At Lighthouse, we offer a variety of in-person and virtual creative writing workshops, in all genres, on weekends, after school, and during school-closure days, including the Young Authors Collective for teens, summer camps, and homeschool enrichment
MITY offers over 100 unique STEM, humanities and fine arts courses that are specifically designed to meet the needs of advanced learners. Classes cover topics not typically taught in schools within a fun and challenging environment.
P.L.A.Y. Society provides affordable arts education programs to youth throughout British Columbia. Ensuring that all participants have access to arts programming regardless of ethnicity, gender, or financial situation.

Surrey Civic Theatres are built on the unceded territories of the se’mya’me (Semiahmoo), q̓ʷɑ:n̓ƛ̓ən̓ (Kwantlen), and q̓ic̓əy̓ (Katzie) nations. We are honoured to work and learn on land they have stewarded since time immemorial. Surrey Civic Theatres are owned and operated by the City of Surrey. Venues include the Main Stage and Studio Theatre inside the Surrey Arts Centre, and Centre Stage located inside Surrey City Hall. Events held on these stages are both programmed by Surrey Civic Theatres’ staff, as well as presented by organizations and individuals who rent the theatres. Together, they provide the community with a spectrum of performing arts and entertainment options.

The First Step Actors' Workshop is an all inclusive actors training and actors study facility for beginners and advanced artists. We provide acting classes for Youth/Teen and Adults with no experience is necessary.

This group was created to provide an opportunity for all home schooled children to experience musical theatre and to help them meet their educational goals. Children who have been involved in this program have not only benefited educationally, but have made life long friends.
