Our classes focus entirely on in-person games that develop skills such as critical thinking, math, logic, planning, memory, communication, negotiation and leadership. Through these programs, kids learn the importance of planning, making thoughtful choices and understanding the reasons behind their decisions while playing games and having fun. Brainiacs Adventures offers in-school enrichment, after-school programs and camps that explore the power of learning through play, experiences and strategic thinking — all in a screen-free environment. Our educational programs sit at the intersection of three important needs for young children: childcare, screen-free learning and whole-brain development.

Our most popular program is the Board Games curriculum, where students learn by playing more than 100 strategy and logic games such as Chess, Mastermind, Blokus, Connect 4, Match Madness, Qwirkle and Ticket to Ride. These games help children develop planning skills, critical thinking and thoughtful decision-making while learning to adapt, collaborate and think strategically.

In addition to board games, Brainiacs also offers specialized programs including Chess Club, STEM Lab and Business Startup Lab, which provide deeper exploration into strategy, creativity, problem-solving and entrepreneurship. Our camps run during Spring Break and Summer, bringing together Brainiacs’ core concepts through a mix of board games, chess, puzzles, STEM challenges and collaborative activities.

Brainiacs Adventures was founded in 2024 by two parents who wanted more thoughtful and engaging after-school programs for children in the region. Since then, the program has grown rapidly, with more than 800 students participating across 20 elementary schools and 10 camps throughout the Greater Vancouver area.

After-school programs are offered at various Elementary Schools. Our staff ensures all kids make their way from their class to the Brainiacs program on-site. Programs include chess, strategy board games, STEM, coding, etc.
