What started in 1994 with a handful of Vancouver Aquarium employees has since grown to a national conservation partnership by Ocean Wise and WWF-Canada, and sees over 50,000 Canadians participate every year. More than just a program to pick up trash, participants collect valuable data about the types and amounts of litter found along our waterways. We are also Canada's main contributor to the Ocean Conservancy's International Coastal Cleanup, where over 90 countries participate.
