Lulu Island Winery

In 1998, owners John and Allison Chang moved to Canada from Taiwan. In 2001, they started their first winery in Richmond called Blossom Winery. They focused solely on Icewine and fruit wines as the winery was small and had limited space. Despite this limitation, they were able to establish themselves in the Asian market as a quality wine producer by exporting their products to China and Taiwan. It was John’s dream to expand their product line to include table wines and connect with the local community of Richmond. In 2006 they purchased the land now known as Lulu Island Winery in Richmond. After 3 years of growing their grapes, they opened their doors to the community in 2009.
