Ages for which our activities are most appropriate:

Metro Vancouver Junior Roller Derby (MVJRD) is Greater Vancouver’s only junior roller derby team. Since 2013, skaters ranging in age from 6 to 18 attend weekly practices in Vancouver and Coquitlam, and have loads of fun competing in regional games and tournaments.
Roller derby is a fiercely proud sport that has historically welcomed outsiders, notably queer, transgender, and other gender non-conforming skaters. Junior derby is one of the few youth sports with no mutually exclusive 'girls' and/or 'boys' teams. As such, it attracts youth of all genders.

MVJRD teaches children aged 6-17 skating and derby skills. During fall and winter, our program runs out of Britannia CC (Sun 9-11 am) and Westhill Sports Box (Tues 6-8 pm). In April-June, we are at Trout Lake rink (Tue 4-6 pm and Sat 9-11 am).
